Information

The Bauhaus Dessau auditorium houses the world’s first steel pipe chair. It was designed by Marcel Breuer in 1926. The Eisengarn-Gurte (reinforced canvas strip) covering was made in the Bauhaus textile workshop.
In 1992, Tecta serialized a re-edition of these theater chairs designed by Breuer.
